The Gopher Plantation offers diverse topography that provides an optimum wildlife habitat. Intensive management has created an abundance of wildlife seldom available to the public. It creates a touch of heaven to the hunter after being micromanaged for over 35 years. Each critter can find his favorite habitat in pine plantations, oak ridges, Carolina bays, river flood plains, palmetto and wiregrass ridges along with two rivers and nine ponds.
The Gopher Plantation, located in southeast Georgia near Millwood, is comprised of 9,500 acres, consisting of cypress ponds, beaver ponds, ty-ty bays, numerous streams and the Satilla River meandering through hardwood bottoms.
